My name is Taylor Appalachia. My mother named me Taylor, I named myself Appalachia. My grandmother is Hawaiian, my grandfather was West-Virginian and I grew up throughout the base of the Appalachian mountains as they snake through the bottoms of North Carolina. And so it has gone for the most of my twenty-four years. I've lived in Houston, Texas, spent some time in Hawaii, in Tanzania, and in the Southwest United States. But I always come back. I miss the rhododendron forests. I get homesick for the accents.

Writing, cooking, and picture-taking have been important modes of self-expression for me since my early life. This website serves as my corner of the internet to organize and share such practices.

I am for hire.
